Accessibility
A site you can use, regardless of how you use it.
We design and build Offerings of Worship to be usable by everyone — including people who navigate with keyboards, screen readers, voice control, or simply a phone in bright sunlight. This page is our commitment, in plain language.
Our target
WCAG 2.2 AA.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. That means our content is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for the widest possible range of visitors — including people who use assistive technologies.
Concretely, that means: meaningful semantic HTML, visible keyboard focus states, color contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text, descriptive alt text for meaningful images, properly labeled form fields, and skip links for keyboard users.
We test the site against NVDA and VoiceOver on a regular basis, and we run automated audits with every release. Accessibility is not a one-time project for us; it’s a part of how we ship.
Where we are
Current status.
In progress
Color contrast review
We’re auditing every text-on-background combination on the site for AA contrast. The vast majority of the site already meets AA; a few secondary helper text styles are being brought into compliance this quarter.
In progress
Form label sweep
Every form field on the site now has a visible label and a programmatically associated label element. We’re adding inline validation messages to the remaining edge cases.
Planned
Live-caption product videos
When we add product video content, all videos will include accurate captions and a text transcript.
Known limitations
Where we still have work to do.
We’re honest about what isn’t perfect yet. Some PDF documents downloadable from the site — for example, our candle care card — are designed for print and may not be fully accessible to screen readers. We’re building HTML alternatives as we revise these documents.
Some third-party embeds (Instagram grid, certain product video players) may have limited accessibility. We link out from these embeds to their native pages, which are generally more accessible, and we’re working with vendors to improve this in 2026.
